Hi, I’m Pablo, the person behind China Easy Mode.

Why listen to me?

• I’m Chinese, and I’ve lived in Beijing, Shanghai and Zhengzhou. I’ve paid with Alipay and WeChat, booked trains on 12306 and got around these cities as a local for years.
• I’ve also studied abroad, so I know what China looks like from the outside: the blocked apps, the payment walls, the visa confusion.
• I’ve traveled widely across China, from the big cities to smaller places where English signage disappears.

What I do here

I write and personally check every guide on this site. I read the official Chinese-language sources (immigration notices, bank and app help pages) and turn them into plain English, and I show the date each guide was last verified.
